Life is a journey and mine has evolved from researcher, teacher and now floral designer. Flowers have a most unusual power over us, maybe even mystical, which is why I’m always drawn to them. My creativity with flowers is probably genetic as my mum is a highly qualified and respected florist plus my mother-in- law who sadly is no longer with us was an international flower arranger and Chelsea gold medal winner. Gulp, I have a lot to live up to! My style would be described as enchantingly romantic, rustic yet elegant. This style has developed over the years but is rooted in memories from my childhood, getting lost in an extraordinarily large garden filled with huge fragrant blooms and wild bushes. We grew English roses and a wide variety of seasonal flowers that look so effective displayed in a simple sophisticated manner.
Apart from being passionate about flowers, I spend a large amount of time with my family, friends, two dogs and a tortoise called Zippy. If you live in Clevedon or are just sight seeing, you just might spot me walking a very friendly black lab called Cola and a crazy spaniel called Bramble, but she’s often lost in the woods.
